Isaacie Etidloie

Isaacie Etidloie is an Inuit artist known for his traditional and contemporary works in sculpture and printmaking. Born in 1956 in Cape Dorset, Nunavut, Canada, Etidloie is part of the vibrant Inuit art community that has gained international acclaim for its unique style and cultural expression.

Etidloie’s art is deeply rooted in the traditions and stories of the Inuit people. He specializes in stone and bone carvings, often depicting animals, figures from Inuit mythology, and everyday life in the Arctic. His works reflect both the traditional practices of Inuit art and his personal artistic vision.

He is a member of the renowned Kinngait Studio (formerly known as Cape Dorset Print Shop), which has been instrumental in the development of Inuit printmaking. The Kinngait Studio has a long history of collaboration with Inuit artists and is celebrated for its contributions to the global art scene.
