Annie Parr

Annie Parr, born in 1975, is a graphic artist from Iqaluit, Nunavut. She is known for her work as an illustrator, printmaker, and engraver. Parr studied art at Peter Pitseolak School and later attended Arctic College for a program in Early Childhood Education. She developed a strong interest in drawing and printmaking in 2015 after attending an engraving workshop hosted by Paul Machnick from Studio PM in Montreal.
One of her notable works, "Roaming Bears" (2017), features two bears standing on a snowy landscape, which debuted in the 2017 Cape Dorset Annual Print Collection. Her art often reflects the natural beauty and cultural heritage of the Inuit community.
