Lucas Aaluk is an Inuit artist from Gjoa Haven, Nunavut, who has been carving professionally for over a decade. Born into a family of renowned carvers, his mother, Leonie Nuyaoqiq Aaluk, has exhibited her works internationally since 1974. Lucas' carvings are deeply spiritual, characterized by dynamic forms and expressive faces. His work reflects traditional Inuit themes, often portrayed in a stylized manner. Lucas has gained recognition in the Inuit art community and has had his pieces featured in several exhibitions.
