Annie Pitsiulak

Annie Pitsiulak is an accomplished Inuit artist born on March 11, 1950, in Pangnirtung, Nunavut. She is known for her work in tapestries, drawings, and prints. Annie is married to Lipa Pitsiulak, a sculptor and graphic artist, and she is the sister of fellow artists Alan and Ananaisie Alikatuktuk.

Annie Pitsiulak has participated in various exhibitions since the 1970s, including the annual Pangnirtung Print Collection and international showcases such as "Polar Vision: Canadian Eskimo Graphics" in Jerusalem and "Useful Bits of Bone" at the Winnipeg Art Gallery. Her works often feature traditional Inuit themes and stories, showcasing her cultural heritage and artistic skill.

Her art is included in several prestigious collections, such as the Canadian Museum of Civilization, the Dennos Museum Center, and the McMichael Canadian Art Collection. Annie's 1979 print, "Dancer," was notably featured in an Arctic Islands brochure by Indian and Northern Affairs Canada.
